Winning Web Sites

Two Potomac Digitek web sites were recently recognized in prestigious award competitions, placing them among "the best of the best" for non-profit association web sites.

Award Winners

The Web Marketing Association presented a 2007 Standard of Excellence WebAward to the National Press Club for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development in the Non-Profit category. The judges evaluated entries based on seven criteria: design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation, and content. The Press Club site allows users to customize the calendar entries they see based on preferences and interests, highlights upcoming events and speakers, and focuses on the news of the day, all while providing easy access to information about the club and its facilities, restaurants, and member programs.

Association Trends, a leading national newspaper covering the latest news, information and trends in association management, named the Association for Laboratory Automation web site a Silver Award winner in its 2007 Association Trends All-Media Contest in the Web Sites category. The contest drew more than 400 entries in a wide variety of categories. The site includes an interactive feature that allows users to create conference itineraries, online blogs and podcasts, book of the month selections, journal information, and more.
